Instructions
Mr. Rubato is a game about feeling rubato in music. Each of the clips is an excerpt from a performance by the Stanford Chamber Chorale, conducted by Professor Dr. Stephen M. Sano.
Tap the start button or press the space bar to begin. As the music plays, tap along to the beat, paying close attention to changes in tempo.
You get points for each beat, and are penalized for tapping more than once on a given beat. The closer you are to the correct beat, the more points you get; but late guesses are scored more harshly, so don't try to react to the beats as they come! Note that not all beats correspond exactly to the time signature, as rubato may affect the conducting pattern.
The maximum score for each track is 9999. Players with stars next to their names have a top score for at least one song.
Press the arrow button to select a different song.
Enjoy!
